Born in 1967 in Tehran, Iran, Suzan Dehghani has thought of painting as the calling of her life. Her preoccupation with painting throughout her school days led finally to Bachelor of Arts Degree from Azad University, Tehran Iran, with concentration in oil painting. She had successful and widely reviewed exhibitions in Tehran and Toronto. She has been painting since her arrival in this country in 2000. What appeals to critics is her deep rooted obsession with the distortion that objects and human beings will have to undergo to land on the canvas.
